Privacy Policy
This policy explains what happens to your information when you sign up for Soulplates early access or email us. Soulplates is an app that isn’t available yet. When it launches, it will have its own privacy policy, which we’ll publish before you can download it.
Who we are
Soulplates is building a nutrition app for iPhone. You can reach us at hello@soulplates.app.
What we collect
When you sign up for early access, we keep:
- your email address;
- your first name, if you give it;
- your answers to the optional questions: what you’d most like to understand, which phone you use, and whether you wear a sleep-tracking watch or ring (an Apple Watch, another brand, or none);
- where you came from, for example the post or link that brought you here;
- the date you joined.
Your email address is the only thing you have to give us. Everything else is optional.
If you email us, we keep your message and your email address so we can reply.
Why we collect it
- To tell you when Soulplates is ready.
- To understand who’s waiting, for example how many people use Android, so we can plan what to build next.
We only do this with your consent, which you give when you join. You can withdraw it at any time by unsubscribing or emailing us.
If you email us, we use your message to reply to you. We do that because you’d expect us to (in legal terms, our legitimate interests).
What we don’t do
We never sell your data. We don’t use it for advertising, and we don’t share it with anyone except the service that stores our early access list and sends our emails for us, or if the law requires it.
How long we keep it
We keep your details while the early access list is running, until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them. If you unsubscribe, we take you off the list.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, and ask us to correct it or delete it. You can also ask us to limit how we use it, object to how we use it, or send it to you in a format you can take elsewhere. Email hello@soulplates.app and we’ll reply within one month.
If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your information, you can complain to a data protection regulator. In the UK that’s the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk). In the EU, it’s the data protection authority in your country.
Cookies and website visits
This website doesn’t use cookies, analytics or advertising trackers. Like any website, the service that hosts it can see your IP address and browser details when you visit, and keeps basic logs to keep the site secure and running.
Children
Soulplates is for people aged 18 and over, so please don’t sign up for early access if you’re younger. We don’t knowingly collect information from anyone under 18, and if we find that we have, we’ll delete it.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we’ll update this page and the date at the top.
